My services are free to the Black community.
Here's why: Our history was intentionally hidden and stolen from us by white supremacist culture. We live in a country that still does not want its citizens to learn African American history in public schools. Community colleges and universities that attempt to teach Black history courses are either defunded, the material is sanitized, or it is generally taught by non-Black instructors.
Therefore, I do not believe Black people should have to pay money to learn about their own history and genealogy.
NOTE: When I say "Black" I mean anyone who is Black and/or mixed-race Black. You have African DNA from one or both parents.
To keep my services free to the Black community, I rely on funding and monetary donations from allies, accomplices, co-conspirators (AACs) and supporters who fund my work and passion for the Black community. I work with AACs and like-minded individuals and organizations who contract my services through their non-profit organizations, their local/state/federal agencies, and/or with individuals and small groups.

A shameless plug for Historians
A lot of people don't actually know what historians do -- often people assume historians just teach high school social studies and college history courses, and write books. People tend to think that learning history is only about memorizing dates.
Historians are academically trained to think critically about data presented to them, any data, not just historical events. Historians understand how to analyze and interpret facts in historical context. In other words, historians think historically. Historians vet sources of information to ensure the data collected is indeed legitimate, know how to perform deep research, and know how to properly cite sources. In other words, we know how to check if what that TikTok video is saying about Black history or slavery is actually legit.
Historians with advanced degrees know how to conduct research using methodologies that only few fields outside of history are taught how to do. No shade to other fields of study! And finally, historians do not need to use AI / ChatGPT to do the research for them nor write for them -- historians go through such academic rigor when it comes to writing original work and conducting research in graduate school that we can usually tell right away if someone is using AI, and if the AI-generated information is even correct (it's usually not or is missing a lot). Yes, we can be pretty nerdy, but you'll never regret having an historian in your circle, no matter what the job entails.
Consider historians!
